VRParty is blog/news publication that focuses on Virtual Reality. This can be games, hardware, breaking VR news, AR, MR, and more. VRParty strives to be a place people can trust for unpaid opinions and regular informal posts related to VR content.

VRParty will never sell your data, host intrusive ADs, or shill products just for a payout.

VRParty is also a Mastodon instance which you can find more info on that here: Social. The next part of this about page will make more sense if you understand what Mastodon is.

Why?

TL;DR I really like to YAP about VR games and technology.

The longer explanation of why I have both this website and my Mastodon instance is that yes, I do love VR but I also wanted to create a community of like minded people. What is the point of VR and for that matter posting about it online if you have nobody to talk to about it?

I want this place to be a wealth of information for people who are also interested in VR and just so happen to like the posts that I make about new games, headsets, technology, etc. At the same time, I want people to be able to connect with each other and to be able to express these interests because idk about you but, IRL I don't really know anyone else who is really this interested in VR if at all.

Also, the idea for having this site be "home.vrparty.social" is a shoutout to VRChat with their worlds system and how each player has a home world, this is the home world for VRParty and the Mastodon instance is VRP going out and seeing others online in other worlds or "instances".
